Midnight Oil used that line to open the song Read About It. Of course they were talking monetary wealth. Me, I'm barely middle-class, but feeling richer than a Conrad Black lawyer right now; and maybe these pictures can save me a thousand words in explanation. That's me in the middle (above) - already pretty rich prior to yesterday with my 3-year-old Francis, seen here on my left knee (long-time readers will recall his work ethic has already been noted in this space).
The little guy on my right knee is where the getting richer part comes in. That's Gavin, whom my wife fought to bring into this world early yesterday morning. He was kinda late (10 days) and kinda big (over 9 lbs.) I think he's kinda fantastic; although if you were to ask Francis, he'd probably tell you the jury is still out on that.
It was a little rocky, and it ended with my wife having to have an emergency c-section, but everyone is doing well and she's healing quickly. In fact, she's been nursing him all day.
And me? I'm chuffed. And as rich as anyone has a right to be. This is good.
As good as it gets IMHO.

I'm glad to see you are keeping the Anglo community strong...even in my absence... Keep up the good work. Three of four more and you might be able to do something one day to save our miserable hockey team...or form a really good band.
Although I should warn you....my brother and his wife had three young boys between one and four...and they aged...um...a lot :)
After having lost touch for more than 7 years or so, now I know what you've been up to! Could not have happened to a nicer guy! Congrats Scott!
